Lately I have been trying to figure out what trends are happening in the candle world so I can gear my designs towards that. I enjoy this aspect of creating molds because I can explore magazines, candle primitive and rustic sites trying to find the right design.
This past week I have been in the mood to design, design, design. It is a wonderful feeling, but because we only have 24 hrs. in a day some of my ideas do not come to fruition immediately. (I think the word fruition fits in there right.)
The trend that I think will be coming around even stronger is folk art. Everything I see in the mags is gearing more towards folk art. Primitive right now is in full force.
Do you feel that primitive still will be around for a little while longer? I think it will be. We have not reached our peak yet.
What ever happened to rustic? What comes to mind when you think of rustic candles?
