Freshen Up Your Candle and Soap Line

by dawnaurora on November 26, 2008

Cheryl ~ I get bored when decorating with the same old stuff. I need something new.

If you are going through “product line boredom”, don’t you think your customers are going through the same thing. I too get bored doing the same designs and silicone molds day in and day out. I like to change things up on my website and mold designs all the time. I love creating new silicone molds, new ways to display candles and tarts, and new ways to serve you.

Doesn’t it feel great to develop a new product? Don’t you get all excited about your new creations and want to display it immediately on your website or out in your store? Your customers feel the same way you do. They enjoy something new and exciting. By adding certain new products or restyling products you are catering to the needs of your customers.

Remember you are competing for your customers attention. By freshening up your products you have the ability to keep your customers attention. You have the ability to keep your customers coming back for more.  Your customers senses become immune to seeing the same ‘ole.

Your customers will feel appreciated and feel that you really care especially if you have developed a great rapport with them. Constantly think of new ways to serve them.

If your quality is consistent throughout your line then your customers would love to try out your new products. Give them the unexpected. Treat them to something new that you have created.

Let us think “out of the box” for this Christmas holiday season.
We all want great looking products and to display them unique to our personality. I want to help you uncover unique ways to display or recreate your products.

Ideas:
1. Christmas Cookie Candle Tart Tray ~ Have a cookie tart tray that displays a bundle of tarts and scents. Also, do this with soaps

2. Personalized Fragrance Oil~ Custom mix your own Christmas Season fragrance candle or soap oil that customers can only get from you for the season

3. New Product Gift Basket ~ Fill a holiday basket full of your new products for a great price. Or have a prize drawing basket where potential customers give you their name, email address and physical addresss information to enter the drawing. After the drawing you can keep in touch with the potential customers that have entered the drawing and tell them about your great deals and upcoming products.

This is just a pre-starter list to get your ideas flowing. There are many great ideas out there to spark more candle and bath and body sales.

If you need help with direction just ask your customers what they are looking for? They would love that you are taking the time to know what they want.

If you have great creative ideas, feel free to place your comments in the blog. I would love to hear about your fresh ideas.

Hi Dawn,
I also have a store attached to my house. Once a year a bunch of local crafters have a traveling craft show, it is about 85% repeat customers, if I completely rearrange the two room and make new displays that so many more items will move. People do love also to have a sale table to visit. These are things that really help me sell.
