Here is another Valentine’s candle project that I thought of while taking a picture of the Hershey kisses mold. This is a great idea especially if you send out samples.
How can anyone resist a chunky Valentine’s kisses votive candle? I definitely couldn’t and I also like fragrance oils that grace the chocolate realm. My favorite chocolate scent is campfire s’mores.
Chunky Kisses Votive Directions:
Items needed:
- Votive metal or plastic mold
- Votive Wick Pin
- Hershey Kisses Mold
- Wax
- Fragrance Oil of choice
- Melt your wax add your fragrance oil, dye and any additives
- Spray your votive mold with mold release spray
- Set aside some wax colored to your version of Hershey kisses (dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate)

- Fill up your tart cup all the way up with your wax Hershey kisses

- The rest of the wax you can either color it red, pink or white or do all 3 by pouring the white first, add dye for pink, then make the wax darker for red. I colored mine red and white.
- Make sure the wax you are about to pour has cooled off or you may melt down your Hershey kisses
- Let the wax set up
- Pull the votives out of the mold
- Place the wick in through the wick pin hole

Chunky Kisses Votive
This candle making project is quick, easy and a lot of fun. A nice way to dress up your votive candles in a Valentine’s theme. I think I like the Hershey kisses submersed in white wax better than the red. What do you think?
This is my first time trying to make this project. As you can see I did not wait for the wax to cool down before I poured it on top of the Hershey kisses. Have to make a mistake every once in awhile. =)
