Our First Vacation Of the Summer

by dawnaurora on July 7, 2009

Hello Everyone!  I am back in my basement office planning, typing, doing orders.  I had a wonderful vacation with the family.  We went to Poe Paddy to fish, camp, bike ride and just lounge around.

Okay I admit I went with the impression I was going to get a ton of work done.  I brought my acer mini, my notebook, some reading material and loads of pens.

The impression just did not happen.  I did not tackle a thing.  Which is good because what I came to realize is that sometimes you do need a vacation.  You have a business that keeps you 24/7, but do not let that interfere with your vacation time.

I put my acer mini, notebooks and reading material aside and took out my camera, and knitting.  It felt so good to just watch the kids and husband enjoy the surroundings.  I entirely enjoyed taking many pictures, and knitting.

My daughter, Oksana, made me some knitting markers that I fell in love with.  Right now I am working on a sweater for my husband.

Like I said I took a lot of pictures.  You can see here that my youngest son is eating his first “camper’s special”.  The “camper’s special”  is this mixture of various meats cooked with eggs and potatoes.  It is actually pretty good.  I can only eat so much because of the salt content.
camperspecialPoe Paddy has the wonderful Penn’s Creek running through it.  It is known for fly fishing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing and swimming.  You can do so many activities with your family.

I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer just as much as I am. Now it is back to the daily planning. I feel refreshed and ready to go. This is what a little rest for your daily business activities will do.

Many Blessings,
Dawnaurora
