Every Thursday morning I help out a friend who was limited on funds set up a website to sell her jewelry. She wanted to sell her jewelry without having a lot of overhead in website carts, graphics, and domain names. To help her out the best way I knew how I chose blog selling because it was the easiest way for me to help her and also the least costly.
It took me awhile to figure how to set up a selling blog, but the theme, shopping cart were all free. The results were well worth the time and effort once I was done. I know the results for you will be worth all your time and effort.
Here is a quick breakdown of putting together a selling blog.
- Register a Domain Name - Go Daddy =$.83/month
- Host Your Registered Name (my link) – Hostgator = $10/month
- Set Up A Blog – I prefer Wordpress = free
- Search for a free wordpress themes = free
- Set up an eshop or ecommerce through your blog = free
You can also set up a selling blog through Blogger and that would be free. The only thing is that you do not own the site. Blogger owns your site unless you pay for it. I am not familiar with Blogger so I honestly do not know all the ins and outs.
Here are some free carts used for Blogger:
