Candle Making Books In My Library

I haven’t bought a candle making book in so long. To feed my candle making passion I have resorted to searching the world wide web to look at candle designs and techniques, but it is not the same as having a candle making book that you can pull right off your shelf. I love to be able to go to my “library” and pull off a couple of candle making books.

I think it is time for me to go and search for some great reads. First off, I will show you what I have in my library.

What Candle Making Books Do I have In My Library:

1. The first book I have hear is “Candle Making Made Easy” By Susan and Martin Penny. This book goes over very simple “easy” candle making techniques.  Here are some of the topics that the book covers, such as, stencilled candles, glass votives, tolled beeswax candles, hand dipped tapers, clown candles, chunk candles, natural candles and of course more.  The candle making book also includes candle troubleshooting and wax recipes.

The second book in the grand library is “The Encyclopedia of Candle Making Techniques” By Sandie Lea.  This book covers specific candle making techniques, embellishing techniques, and displaying your techniques. The book is filled to the brim with great ideas.  It is a great must have.

The third book is “Gel Candles – Creative and Beautiful Candles To Make”  By Chris Rankin.  I have only slightly experimented with making gel candles.  I thought I was going to get into making it big time and add it to my candle line, but I only got as far as making one candle.  I think the gel candle making style is so cool.  I like the bubbles, the suspended embeds and the scent throw isn’t to bad if you get the right gel.  The look of gel candles is beautiful.

This gel candle making book covers different gel candle making techniques and styles.  It shows how to suspend objects in the gel, get rid of the bubbles ( I personally like bubbles), how to pour and more.

If you are into gel candle making this I would say is a must have on your shelf.

Last but not least on my shelf because I am going to be placing a candle making book order soon is “Candle Making For Fun and Profit” by Michelle Espino.  When I decided to turn candle making into a business I ran to Barnes And Noble and found this great book.  This is another must have  candle making book. I refer to this book a lot.  Here is a quick rundown of what is inside.  We have making candles for fun chapter, then making candles for profit,  it helps you to price, sell and market your candles and it have a mini course in crafts- business basics.

Go over some of these books.  Rent them from the library.  I personally like to buy them to have on my shelf for reference.

Many Blessings,

Dawn
