Quick Tip: Testing Candles With Various Wicks The Easy Way

Probably a lot of you candle makers test out each candle, votive, wick, fragrance oil and everything else that you put in your candles needs to be tested.

The part of the testing that I get frustrated with is trying to figure out what wick size to use for each candle. You have to get that just right in order to achieve a nice flame.

Here is my quick tip of the day.

Don’t attach your wick to the tester. Gently poke a hole down through the middle of your tester with a skewer. Insert the wick you are testing. If you notice that the wick isn’t going to cut it, take it out with a pair of needle nose pliers and place another wick down through the hole.

How easy is that? That not only saves time, but also money. You can achieve the same outcome as if you were working with a tester for each wick.

Many Blessings,
Dawn

P.S. Have fun with this quick candle testing tip. If you have any added questions drop into our forum at Candle Marketing Sweeti. I would enjoy answering any additional questions.
