Valentine’s, to me, means a lot of hearts, hearts and more hearts. Every year my kids make heart projects made out of felt, construction paper, pipe, sticks and who knows what else. I enjoy displaying their projects around the house.
I will show you a fun heart project made with wax.
The materials you will need for this Valentine’s candle project are:
- Valentine Mold
- Mini Pie Dollops
- Wick
- Wax – tan for heart pie crust, white for the dollops, red for the inside
- Fragrance Oil – Cupid, Amber Romance, Love Spell to name a few
~ Pour the wax in the Valentine mold for the pie crust. Allow it to cool and then gently take the heart out of the mold.
~ Put a hole in the base of the heart pie crust for the wick.
~ Wick the pie crust.
~ Pour the first layer of red wax into the heart pie crust. Allow the first pour to cool. Make the pour high enough so that when you pour the second layer the dollops do not sink down too far into the second wax pouring.
~ Pour your second layer. Allow the second layer of wax to cool then arrange the dollops on the wax however you want them.
~ Allow the candle to cool completely.
Voila! Your Valentine’s Pie Candle.
Many Blessings,
