Have you ever found yourself in a funk? When you do, do you calculate how much time lost?
I go through a rough unmotivated stage at least twice a year. This past time I lost about 1 months worth of productivity. I couldn’t get my act straight. I didn’t know if I was coming or going. I diverted my energy into what brought my business the most money and slacked off on everything else. That included twitter, facebook, blogging, and the soap and candle mastermind sessions.
I am out of the funk now trying to gain back what I lost. I came to the conclusion that I can’t go through these “lack of motivation” patches. I had to figure a way to avoid them.
Here are 5 tips to help you stay motivated and improve your business:
- Read – I believe that ”knowledge is power”. I read anything from internet marketing, local marketing, sales copywriting, inspirational stories and newspaper and Internet ads. That is a lot of reading. How do I know what to read when time is slim. I read whatever I know I am going to put into use in 2 days. For myself, it shows me what I need to do to reach my business goal.
- Organize – Keep your work and business area organized. This helps keep the clutter out of both your creativity and business. There is nothing worse then entering your office and coming into a pile of books paper,bill and what nots. This hinders your creativity flow. If you have trouble keeping and staying organized, have someone help you.
- Meet People – Meet people that are in business like you. Bomb around ideas. Participate in mastermind sessions and
