Ice Cream Soda Candle Flavors

by dawnaurora on May 25, 2010

“That was the best ice cream soda I ever tasted.”

Those are famous last words from Lou Costello from Abbott and Costello. It must’ve been hot and muggy that day. It is said that he ate an ice cream soda  almost everyday.
Wouldn’t you agree that an ice cream soda is a perfect drink for a hot, humid day?

Also, wouldn’t you agree that an ice cream soda candle is a great candle for summer fun?

Chocolate and vanilla are by far the most popular flavors, but the varieties are endless and so is that family fun. You can be quite creative with almost any ice cream and soda flavors.
Here are some recipes for you and the family to try.

Strawberry Ice Cream Soda

  • Strawberry Jam
  • Crushed fresh strawberries
  • Heavy cream
  • Soda water
  • Whipped cream
  • Berries

Take you large glass and heap a tablespoon of jam and fresh strawberries into the glass.  Then add 2 tablespoons of heavy cream.  Fill the glass 2/3 full of soda water and add a big scoop of ice cream.  Dress the your strawberry ice cream soda with a huge dollop of whip cream and a cherry.

Orange Ice Cream Soda

  • 4 cups of orange juice
  • 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • 1cup chilled cream soda

Pour the orange juice into 4 glasses.  Top each glass with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and pour 1/4 cup of cream soda.

Coffee Ice Cream Soda

  • 3 cups of strong coffee
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup of half and half cream
  • 4 scoops coffee ice cream
  • 3/4 cups of club soda

Mix the coffee, sugar and half and half. Fill up 4 tall glasses about half way.  Put 1 scoop of ice cream on top and fill the glass with club soda.  Top with whip cream and a cherry.

Ice cream soda candles are just as much fun as making a real float.  I can see these candles used for ice cream socials,  gatherings, and collectors.

Here are some of my ice cream soda candles.

Banana Chocolate

Blackberry Vanilla

Pineapple Ice Cream Soda

Strawberry, Orange Cream,  Blueberry and Lemon Sherbet

To take your ice cream soda’s to the next level add some toppings like whip cream, a cherry or gummy candy.  Who can resist an ice cream soda all decked out in your favorite toppings and scent?

Many Blessings,
