Around this house the increase in temperature means an increase in ice cream consumption. Last week ice cream lasted 2 days. That goes to show you how warm it has been. Is warm really the word. How about scorching? ![]()
Inspiration for this weeks project came from a Taste Of Home magazine. I cannot resist all the great food recipes in there and this one won my heart.
Materials Needed:
- Ice Cream Sugar Bowl Silicone Mold
- Ice Cream Scoop
- Candy Toppings
- Wax
- Wick
- Fragrance Oil
- Hand Mixer
- Coloring
Directions To Make Your Own Ice Cream Waffle Bowl Candle:
- Melt the wax according to the manufacturers specifications – separate amounts for the bowl, ice cream scoop, toppings and on the inside of the bowl
- Color accordingly
- Pour into the molds
- The wax the wax not used for silicone molds set aside allow to get slushy
- Scoop the slushy wax into bowl
- Allow slushy wax to cool

- Set ice cream scoop on top

- Place toppings around the scoop into the slushy wax
- Take rest of wax and use a hand mixer to mix until it gets fluffy
- Take a scoop and put it on top of the ice cream scoop. Acts as whip cream
- Put on the whip cream brown or black shavings, a cherry, and other fun toppings
*Note: There are 2 ways you can tackle the waffle bowl. You can either keep the bowl solid or hollow the bowl out to put wax fixings inside. Both ways are very easy.
Many Blessings,
P.S. What ice cream candle or soap styles do you like to make?
